The table design from our Moroccan dinner was inspired by the old tiles that we used as a runner down the middle. Jessie (from Rountree flowers) came in and constructed these amazing little mum shapes - inspired by the patterns in the tiles and by piles of spices - amaaaazing. She then continued with rose petal garlands, decorating the tabletop with those pops of orange and pink, they were just the thing. The candlestick holders were actually regular taper holders that Jessie converted into pillars by attaching votive holders on top, filling them with sand and using a bit of fun tak to attach - neat trick ! More about the menus & paper items coming soon...stay tuned xoxo

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely magical! I love the use of the tiles for a table runner! This could work so well as a wedding table setting. Thanks for sharing all this talent!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, and a clever idea with the tiles. Are the rose garlands made of real rose petals, and if so, were they able to stay fresh throughout the evening...?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the love everyone! It was so much fun to work with Sunday Suppers on this. Those are real spray rose petals and they lost for about 6 to 8 hours in a cool environment. We created them right before people arrived so it worked well. Thanks and enjoy!

Using the tiles as a runner is a fantastic idea - I've never seen anything like it. I'm going to try that the next time I host a dinner party.
