Sunday Supper :: Brunch

Omy gosh, Brunch. 
Our Sunday Supper Brunch Class last week was sooo amazing. Between the flowers, the food and the lovely people -it all came together so fantastically - we couldn't be more pleased.

We served biscuits & butters, a souffle with wild mushrooms, heirloom tomato salad and wild salmon on the side.  For dessert- poached stone fruit with marscapone.  deeelish.  For the decor, we wanted to do a very clean white (kinda-girly) feast. A very long chef's table, adorned with jessie's wildflower arrangements, mismatched silverware and....voila ! the best brunch ever !

  4. Do you have any more photos of your centerpieces from Sunday supper No. 1 (the roses in ball jars and the apple blossoms)? I can't stop thinking about how gorgeous they are and I would love more pictures. Thanks!

  15. Thanks for the beautiful blog! Question: I would like to use this menu for a bridal shower I am hosting in a few weeks. Unfortunately the bride doesn't like fish. What other protein do you think would work well with the souffle and tomato salad?

  21. I had written about using the menu for a bridal shower brunch, and I just did a "test run" of the entire menu for a few friends. Everything turned out so awesome!!! I did the proscuitto instead of the salmon, and it provided a nice salty-ness that paired really well with the souffle. On the day of the shower, I need to make the menu for 15-20 people. Do you think I can make the souffles early in the morning, pour the batter in the ramekins, put it all in the fridge and then bake them a couple of hours later when the guests arrive? Also, do you think I could make the biscuit batter ahead of time too, keep it in the fridge and then bake those when the guests arrive?

  22. Yay!!! We are so glad!! So- make and bake the souffles for the full cooking time the day before then reheat them the next day for 10 min 350 degrees. Pour 2 tbl of cream on top before you bake. It will give them a nice topping.
    You can also make the biscuits the night before and reheat them at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes. You can even do this in the toaster. They will taste like you made them that day. I promise! Good luck!! Can't wait to hear how it turns out.

  23. The bridal shower brunch was a complete success!!! Everyone was so amazed that I was able to make such elegant, delicious food and pull it off with such ease. I took your advice and made most everything the night before and reheated the day of. I just "whipped up" the tomato salad and mushrooms while my guests were enjoying the warm, homemade biscuits. It was the largest party I have ever hosted and it couldn't have gone better...everything tasted absolutely divine! Thanks so much for your help and for your part in making my friend's bridal shower so special!! Biba, Boston MA
