Cheese Table :: Part 2, the individual plates

In our search for all things cheese we came across these delicate little porcelain boards. We loved the idea of taking a huge artistic display, and breaking it down into little tastings for each guest. We plated a painter’s palette to be served as a unique course during the meal. With this, the table becomes part of the décor of your wedding and the board part of your meal. Maybelle also created an illustrated menu to inform guests. Next week we will go into further detail about the cheeses, how we chose them and a perfect take home favor to go along. Till then...happy weekend.

I have been looking for milk glass stands for ages now, but I live in the UK. Do you know where I could buy similar cake stands - I'm happy to buy lots and pay shipping costs (can you tell I am desperate!) Love, love love your blog.

  9. Really could do with knowing where to find the accessories to pull this look together...cake stands and label holders (esp label holders, can't find them anywhere! and i'd really rather not have to take a pliers to thick paperclips!) Any ideas?

Now, where's that block of cheddar, time for a snack :)

  10. Sorry for adding my question here when it had already been answered on the first post of this series. For anyone looking for vendor of these little sticks (for labels) here's the reply:

Lori, the little picks are called pin style sign holders and we found them online here http://price-tags.hubert.com/pin-style-sign-holder.html

    Many thanks,
    Lori

  13. This is simply wonderful - with the beautiful cheeses the star of the show! I too would love a source for the milk glass stands AND the gossamer fabric on the table - is it tarlatane as we say in French? I've always wondered if it falls apart when washed - so delicate looking!! Thank you for sharing so much beauty!
